62 turn signal question

On the 62 there is a cable that runs down the column to the switch, actually through the switch. Is there a screw to attach it to the switch or does it jut slide back and forth. How would this trigger left or right. I got my indicators hooked up and no matter the position, it triggers right indicator. This is with all new aaw wiring. I can see the cable moving but how does it switch from right to left?

Re: 62 turn signal question

Yes , there's a screw that fastens the cable housing to the switch. If you look at the bottom side of the switch you'll see that a piece that slides back and forth, the cable locks into it. With the turn signal off and the piece on the bottom of the switch in the center lock the cable into the switch. Tighten the screw that holds the cable housing and test your signals. You should see the switch piece slide back and forth

Re: 62 turn signal question

I pulled the switch and the cable housing is tightened down. The cable itself, I can see no way to attach it to the slide part. It will slide by hand but the cable just runs through it. I dont see a way to attach to slide. Been almost two yrs since I took it apart but I just cant see how the cable attaches.

Re: 62 turn signal question

the loop is attached at the top. No place for a loop at the bottom. It just runs through the switch and out the other side. seems there should be a set screw but I cant find one.
