Just picked-up a '76 C10
My wife and I found it at the Decatur Swap Meet over the weekend. My wife had been wanting something with an automatic she can putt around town in.
Our plans for now are to go through the fuel and brake systems and do whatever else it takes to make it reliable for her. How we found it Getting delivered to our place by the seller The body is pretty rough... I think it's missing part of the door latches

I'd just get it mechanically sound,
Buff it out Maybe a set of hubcaps And drive it She'll definitely get plenty of looks! |

I agree with Chevyland. CLR and some gentle Scotch-Brite will remove most of that rust and leave the paint behind. I'd probably try to do a little bit of straightening on that right front fender, but just leave it in place since the color and patina match the rest of the truck.

Super cool find and one of my favorite color combos on a Square!

Thanks everyone. I got it to fire-up and run, but I haven't been able to get gas from the gas tank to fuel pump. Since it's been sitting, I ordered a tank, sending unit and fuel pump.
The back half of the mastr cylinder was dry, so I'll be going through the brakes, too. My plan is to just make it reliable, for now, but I would like to find some 15x8 wheels that will take a stock hub cap. I'd also like to find another green plaid seat cover for it. Wes Posted via Mobile Device |
