4X4 V8/292 crossmember differences

Just FYI and maybe to help somebody out I took some pics.
I have seen several times questions about the differences between the V8 and 292 six cyl. in the 4X4 and how to identify.

I just pulled a 292 out of a 1972 3/4T 4X4 on Monday and I bought a V8 cross member from a board member here some time back to replace it with.
And pics of motor mount on block. Here you go!

Your 292-only 4x4 crossmember and motor mount perches are really rare. Please don't discard or destroy them. Some Inliner might be interested in getting those rare L6 parts. Thanks.

68Orangesunshine-
Thanks for the friendly advice.
I have sold the 292 engine and cross member/engine mounts etc to board member Classic v6 GMC's and he is coming to pick up on Saturday.
So they can get recycled and live on!
Ron

Re: 4X4 V8/292 crossmember differences

There is a WTB listing on the classifieds for a 292 crossmember now
