Rear bar install on roll cage marking it out

Hey guys,

So this winter I've started in installing a roll cage on the old truck because well ...I'm tired of getting kicked off the track lol. I have a 62 small window long box and I'm about to install the rear down bars. Does any body have any pointers on how to mark out and cut the holes? I'm going to make life easy and bend the bar so it goes though the cab horizontally. Thanks.

Little math but here it's easier to draw it than explain if it doesn't make sense let me know

It's just as easy to put them at a angle as it is to bend them done it both ways

I'm so scared about cutting holes in the cab and having them be exactly where they need to be. I'm gonna try and get mine to work through the back window.

They should be better structurally when straight, too, rather than bent.

You can always start with a smaller diameter pipe to ensure you are in exactly the right spot and then increase the hole size gradually as needed.
