Which electric choke carb

Hello everyone,
My current project is a 1971 Cheyenne, 350/350. PO put a manual choke carb on it and disposed of the divorced choke assembly. Anyone have a specific model number and place to get an electric choke carb? I have looked around and just don't want to purchase the wrong model or setup. Thanks!

You can get conversion electric chokes foe most carbs.

It is a reman Qjet with manual choke. Where to purchase choke setup?

Take a pic of the choke side of your carb.
We'll be able to see if the conversion kit will work or not, depending on what mods the po did.
I've seen some real hack jobs before.
Could save you getting a kit that won't work.

Yup, just missing the choke stove and link rod.
THe conversion kit will replace them nicely.

Thank you so much! I put this project to sleep over the winter and getting ready to get it done this summer. All the metal work is done. Getting prepped for interior paint and then finish the inside. Getting excited to spray the dark olive!

Random tip: Resist the temptation to steal power from the coil, even though it's handy, because it's powered by a resistor wire and won't properly power the choke. Run a new line to the "IGN UNFUSED" line at the fusebox.

More Exotic Tip: I ran my ground side to an oil pressure sender so that the choke only heats if the engine is actually running. By no means required, but I thought it was a nice touch.

Why would you want your electric choke to only operate when the engine is running? Seems you'd want an electric choke to engage BEFORE starting the engine, unless I'm missing something?

Don't make the same mistake I did by replacing a carb. when all I needed was an electric choke for the Rochester. I was in a hurry and misled. First on them, next on me. Won't be a next time.

The choke closes by a thermal spring when the engine is cold. The electric part heats the spring to slowly release the choke as the engine warms up. Its a good idea to run it through an oil pressure switch so if the key is on & the engine is not running it will not open the choke prematurely.
