Chevrolet C20 1970 Bench Seat - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Hello everbody,

I am restoring a 1970 Chevrolet C20 Longhorn but I now have a problem with the bench seat. I ordered new upholstery for it but it doesn't fit. The bench seat which was in the car is more angled than the upholstery/the bench seat which should be in the car originally. I also noticed that it has those two plastic guards around the seat belts but they are not shown on the catalogue for the C20. The backrest is also thicker than the upholstery.

I did some research and found out that it could be a bench seat out of a 1981 to 1987 GMC because of those seat belt guards and the angled backrest.

Can anybody identify this bench seat, or tell me if it could be original to the car?

Well...The good news is your seat is a GM seat ...The bad news is it belongs in a car ... That is a Caprice/Impala/Buick/Pontiac 4 Door CAR SEAT . I've reupholstered hundreds of them . Start looking for a truck seat .

Oh , And more bad news those aren't factory seat covers it's been reupholstered once already .

I am looking for the right seat for my 1970 C20. Does anyone have one and want to sell it? Problem is, I need it to be shipped to Germany. But it's impossible to find one in Germany.
