Bed cross sill question and mounting

my first question is .. how many cross sills are on a short bed fleet side ? And my other is.... has anybody ran into the issue of the holes on the sill not lining up to the holes on the frame for sercuing the bed to frame. Sorry if this is a stupid question but I bought this 63 in pieces

Re: Bed cross sill question and mounting

There is an order for the cross braces and they are not all the same. On the short bed there are three larger and one smaller cross braces there is one more larger one on a long bed. Have you fooled with the order they are in? Also there is a front and a back on a couple of them for attaching the fender braces. When I did my long bed it took a bit to try stuff in different places to get the order and direction worked out. I am thinking one of the long bed braces is different but its been to long to remember what it was. I am sure others will fill in the gaps.

That is a short fleet. I believe you would have one more crossmember up front for the long bed.
