WTB - Heater Core retainer screws
I have the 2 bars that go around the heater core. But, there was only 1 screw in each one. They are kind of an odd screw. I think they are a #6 but they have a bigger head. Probably so they don't go through the fiberglass easily.
I'm not opposed to buying everything. Someone please help! |

Re: WTB - Heater Core retainer screws
I think those are the same screws that secure the wire gutter to the firewall and the same plastic loom on the core support.

Re: WTB - Heater Core retainer screws
I just went and put calipers on the core retaining ones and they measure .065.
I put calipers on the ones that hold the gutter and they measure from .082 to .085 (couldn't get a consistent read) However, the heads on both of them are the same. This is on a 1968 with heat only, by the way. |

Re: WTB - Heater Core retainer screws
That got me to looking at sheet metal screw sizes and the gutter ones must be No.2 while the ones for the heater core are No.0 or No.1
