Front Drop Springs......
Hey!
I'm looking to get either a 2" or 3" drop spring for the front of my '70 Sub when I reassemble my front end this week-end. Is a 3" spring easily aligned, or is 2" about the limit? I DO NOT want drop spindles (may lift the truck later on). Who has the best prices/quality on the drop springs? I'm located in Lexington, NC. Need them soon!!!! Thanks for the help! 2" is about max unless your suspension is in good shape. Look for any signs of wear in your a-arms,ball joints, tierods etc. Also a progressive rate spring will be better than a non progressive spring with older high mile suspensions. Our springs as well as (i think) all the other vendors on the board are progressive rate lifetime warrantee and very high quality. Look around for the best price. Stay away from classic (not classic industries)we have replaced 6 trucks this year that had classic springs on them with our springs in our shop.

Hey Doc I had 2in on my daily driver but just not low enough So I went with 3in and really like the way it looks now. I know the right way is with drop spindles but sometimes a poor boy got to do what he has to do

Mothertrucker,
My suspension is all new (ball joints/tie-rods, poly bushings, etc.), do you think the 3" would work w/o damaging anything? Alignment still possible? How much are your springs w/ shipping to NC (27292)? Thanks!! Tim, Thanks for the reply, us "poor married boys" gotta stick together"!! I had the 3" springs w/2" drop spindles and bottomed out alot (roads in Oregon suck!) I now have 2" springs (thanks Tim) w/the spindles and it rides much nicer.
