WTB Dual Battery harness

Could be a question for gmachines, but Im looking to upgrade my new to me 85 k2500 burb to a 12V dual Battery set up since, unfortunately, its a winter warrior. So didnt know if any of you guys knew a source, or had, a factory dual battery harness available. I allready have the aux. tray, so just need the harness. Thanks in advance!

Re: WTB Dual Battery harness

On my 87 Diesel the only 'dual' portion is the 4ga positive cable that runs from drivers battery across core support to passenger side battery, a starter cable end at the battery designed for the dual cable, and the 4ga ground from the drivers battery to the AC/PS bracket. Everything else is the same as a regular vehicle. The 85A alternator has a 10ga output wire, but wires just like a gasser.

Re: WTB Dual Battery harness

Diesel and gas trucks are wired differently. The diesel trucks use both batteries to start which is why the cables run between each battery. The gas truck dual batteries are isolated from each other via a solenoid on the driver fender and get power from the distribution block behind the brake booster.
