Rear frame horns
Can anybody tell me what the measuremt is from the rear body mount to the rear bumper hole. Somebody cut the rear frame horns off and I need a measurement to replace them.

Re: Rear frame horns
What year is your truck? 72 had a different rear frame design so that will change things.

Re: Rear frame horns
It is a 69. What did the rear look like on a 72. Didn't realize there was a difference. Thanks

Re: Rear frame horns
69,70, and 71 don't have rear frame horns, frame stops short before the end of the body. Those years have 4 bumper brackets to mount the bumper to. The 72 frame horns run past the body and the bumper bolts to the end of the frame horns.

Re: Rear frame horns
Thanks that would be great. Did they use differnce brackets the the trucks. I have truck ones on there now & the rear body mounts don't fit. Pictures would be helpful.

Re: Rear frame horns
For a 72 The center two bolts attach directly through the frame, just imagine the way the front frame ends look and the bumper mounting and it's almost the same on the rear

Re: Rear frame horns
Here is a 71 it was hard to get pictures it had a hitch welded to the rear frame rail I cut most of it off. You can see the body doesn't have a notch for the frame rail.

Re: Rear frame horns
Hard to get real good pics where I have the Blazer but here are the ones on my 71' I got a pic of the outer and inner bracket. I think the biggest difference on the inner bracket is that it has a step down or cutout right when it gets the the rear of the frame (I boxed the area in white of what I am talking about).
