Keep in mind that the NV4500 is more of a work truck transmission, It still has the granny low 1st gear but it also has overdrive.(the best of both worlds) You start out in 2nd gear and only use 1st when pulling a trailer or stumps...  http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=673588 LockDoc
