Power steering problems

I have a 1970 k10 and I just put a new steering gearbox, a new power steering pump, a new pressure line on it a an attempt to tighten up the steering and fix the old noisy pump. After bleeding the system and testing however I've found that it's still just as sloppy and the tires wont lock all the way out in either direction without producing a high pitched squel which it did before installing the new parts as well which I believed was just a slight PS misalignment and also when the trucks front tires were in the air during bleeding It turned and locked out just fine. Does the box or anything need to be adjusted? Or is the squealing that I'm hearing preventing the tires from turning?
