Different Hub sizes 1971 to 1976?

Long story short, I need a new hub for my 71 k10. went to the pick a part and they had a 76 blazer hub that the computer said would work. got it home and tried to put the bearing races in and the 76 hub ID for the inner race is almost 3.25 inches where my old one is 3.06 inches, And the hole depth is 1.43 inches compared to 1.18 inches on my old one. So my question is do you think this is truly a 76 hub I found or is it the next generation?
