Rear pinnion angle with Bags

I have a 66 short step , that is bagged it has a small 2.5 inch notch ( for now) I am still running the factory traling arms , have any of you guy had a problem with the pinion being to severe if left stock ? I am just putting this truck together , Im sure I am going to have to modify the trailing arm crossmember to claer the drive shaft. in the future it will lay rocker I have allready built a drop member but I need to get it out and shake some bugs out for the summer and do the crazy lowering next winter, so the question at hand is do I need to change my pinnion angle and can I just grind out the rivets to the brackets that hold the trailing arms and flip the brackets ??? will that be too much , what has everyone else done ????
