2" is about all you want to go on the spring,& you have a choice on spindles,2 ,2 1/2,or 3. most of the crowd is saying that 3" is too much,& leaves the a arm to close to the pavement. how far do you want to drop? Here is a site with info. http://www.classicperform.com/

i want the 2.5 spindles and not sure if i want 1 or 2" springs yet

2.5" spindles from www.earlyclassics.com. These guys are great. Call them and they will tell you what you need to know not what you want to hear.
