WTB: Hubcaps for K-10--See Image of Rims
Need hubcaps for these rims I got off a CUCV Blazer. Prefer white, install over the 4 nubs if that makes sense.
Thanks, Dave. |

I don't think GM made white hubcaps with open centers for 4wd trucks.
Believe you will have to go with the chrome or stainless (73+ ) dog dish.

Re: WTB: Hubcaps for K-10--See Image of Rims
I have a set of K5/K10 Chevy hubcaps in stainless. I also have a single white cap someone punched the hole into. I've planned to make a second one, but haven't yet.

Re: WTB: Hubcaps for K-10--See Image of Rims
Durn, next dilemma I guess. I like the look of the white caps for the 68 and with the 50th. The limited chrome on it might make the stainless too much.... Thoughts?

Re: WTB: Hubcaps for K-10--See Image of Rims
I never saw chrome dog dish hubcaps as overpowering on anything. It's what came on stripped cars. I guess cars all had chrome bumpers and mirrors, though. You could sandblast, paint or powdercoat, and detail paint or knock out wholes in a pair of what caps. I have a repainted cap that looks like crap (paint job) I want to make into a match for the other I have with hole.
I think people shouldn't hijack offers made to other people in their thread. It's really rude and I can think of a whole lot of other words. No deal has been made here. The original poster is still deciding, and no prices have been given, so no way to know who is buying what at this point. People looking for parts should start their own WTB thread

Re: WTB: Hubcaps for K-10--See Image of Rims
Thanks K. So you have some pics of the ones you have? I would like to go period correct at minimum. I imagine once I have the truck all sparkly that they will look good. Brushed finish would probably be good as well but believe that's later. Thanks all, don't get on here a lot due to work so thanks for your patience. Cheers. Dave

The stainless caps do look good on these trucks regardless of body condition.

Re: WTB: Hubcaps for K-10--See Image of Rims
Forgot to add one of the front. Don't mind it being off center on the hub, it was just sitting there for the pic and not firmly in place

I'll get pictures in the morning and post them up. These are the stainless with yellow bowtie in very nice condition.

Re: WTB: Hubcaps for K-10--See Image of Rims
Period correct for a 68 k would be no caps at all. K caps didn't start til 69 if I'm not mistaken. Having said that, I'd add them too. And I'd probably choose the stainless over white - I kinda view it the opposite way, I think the white caps, if you had k caps made for the front, would be overpowering with the white on the truck. My 2 cents only though. Either way, or bare, would look great on that awesome truck.

Re: WTB: Hubcaps for K-10--See Image of Rims
Thanks Jocko, I agree. The set Jim offered me look like a nice set and with the images above I would have to agree with going with the stainless over the white. It would be white overload as you suggest. Nah, the NOS trim I picked up from a member here coupled with the stainless caps would be a great combo. Took me a while to get to this point but the inputs here helped a lot--pics and comments. Thanks everyone. Dave.

I think the white caps have a different look, kinda more utilitarian. I like it!

Re: WTB: Hubcaps for K-10--See Image of Rims
Tough call, I gotta stick with 1st option right now! Once my truck is all painted and sparkly someday it will warrant the stainless caps. Metallic gold, white bottom and stainless trim.... the stainless will be the right choice as Jocko suggests. I like the look of your Blazer with those though!
