New guy from Houston

he guys I'm a huge fan of this site and i was inspired by roadkill to get a square body step side and make a drag truck outa it so i started with a 85 lwb fleet side and took it apart and with the help of craigslist i was able to sell the motor and trade the trans for a 73 stepper i don't want this truck to see any shop time its a lil rusty and bumpy but ill make it beautiful so I'm going to start a build thread here soon with all the pictures you can imagine its gonna be a long road ahead but i hope i can make some friends and gain some knowledge and take you guys with me btw I'm 18 and only have myself and my buddys the man upstairs need my old man last year right before my inner grease monkey came out he was a mechanic he would've helped a lot but i need help i wanna go big block with an auto trans and some fat tires dual tanks one for race fuel the other pump gas and cut outs i need an mentor that knows this stuff and exactly what works or even a general idea so help me out and watch out I'm coming for the top thanks for reading
