Rear lowering question

Kind of a silly question, I'm working on a 73 gmc, I'm going to order a 4" hanger/shackle kit for the rear. I'm dropping the frame off to get powder coated and I want to pull the stock hanger off before hand. Do the kits come with front or rear hangers? Kinda hard to tell in the pictures. The kit I'm going to order is from Western chassis. Hate to pull the wrong hangers off.

I will be going with a similar set up. I have a couple questions for you. Have you found a set up where will you won't have to cut into the bed or frame to mount the shackles? And what kind of prices have you found on these kits? I checked out LMC but my experience with them is usually average parts with a high quality price!!

Thanks

I think if you put lowering shackles on, you will have to notch one of the cross members on the bed floor. If you don't want to notch the cross member, you can do a flip kit in the rear, that's what I did on the last lowered truck I built, but I didn't want to go that low on this one. I had some shackles, and springs that came with one of my trucks not installed, I found the 2" lowering spring hangers from Western chassis pretty cheap on summit racing. The spring, shackle, and spring bracket kit from Western chassis seems to be priced pretty well.

Re: Rear lowering question

How low did that flip kit put you? I want to 2.5" up front and 4" in the back. I plan to use drop spindles and cut a half of a coil in the front but I was afraid the flip kit would make it too low. So ill probably end up with shackles and hangers but didn't want to do any cutting.
