70 C 10 Disc Brake Conversion, wheel track question

I have been reading quite a few posts on this forum about swapping the cross member from the 73 to 87 C 10 to the 70 for the disc brake swap. There is some excellent information on here and, I appreciate and thank everyone who has taken the time to add this information. My son and I are working on a 70 C 10. Dad is doing the work and son is footing the bill and making the choices. He wants the truck to have the look and stance of the 70. When I explained the disc brake swap to him he asked me if the frt track would change if we did the swap. I have not seen any posts noting if the swap has changed the frt wheel track. We have an 84 at our disposal. Does the frt wheel track change, as it looks like the 73 to 87 track is about 2 inches wider. Is it noticeable? Thanks for any help.
