To Sell, or Not to Sell?
I bought my '61 C10 longbed from a gearhead east of Sacramento last summer. He had tuned everything up and made it into a functional turn-key with a very fair price. Beautiful truck, ready for the road. The problem: I took it from high-and-dry central-cali to the super-sea-salt coast town. He put on a lot of modern chrome, and most of it has rusted away. Although it's one of my top-five favorite Chevy truck years, the more it rusts, the worse I feel. Should I just ditch it to someone that can do it justice?

Do you enjoy your truck? If so keep it...
If you really, secretly, want something else, sell it.

Re: To Sell, or Not to Sell?
I have found that the chrome grills are crap. Mine is flaking and I try and stay ahead of it. You could go to an original aluminum grill or a painted one. Mirror heads tend to rust and I have gone to the stainless one from Orilley's and they are doing good. Bumpers I have not had issues with. I would just make a plan to improve on what you have and drive the wheels off it.
