Headliner Strips
I'm finally ready to reinstall my headliner and trim but I'm worried about breaking the chrome strips.
I'm thinking it might be safer to remove the bows and install the strips on them while out of the truck. Then reinstall working my way from the front to back (or vice versa). Trying to snap them on from overhead seems like a way to break them. Anyone successfully reinstalled the plastic chrome strips? Any hints?

Re: Headliner Strips
Mine cracked all to pieces trying to install them after my new headliner was installed. I ended up installing the 1" wide aluminum strips from Lowes. Looks great and pretty cheap "mod". A few have done it on the forum. Good luck.

Re: Headliner Strips
I didn't want to hear that. I broke two removing them. I bought some unbroken ones from a member.
I'm sure hoping to get them installed without breaking.

Re: Headliner Strips
Any thoughts about using silicone spray or a light coat of petroleum jelly on the stripe ?
