Bumper holes
Blizno23 created a thread about what you think is the best year and it got me to thinking about my truck. I have the 68 grill on a 71, and I think it's great. But I'm left with these empty bumper holes. Any cool ideas about what to do with these holes? I was thinking fog lights or daytime running lights. What do you guys think?

Re: Bumper holes
Cold air induction!
Duct to cool brakes! Improvise some tow hooks up in there! -klb

Re: Bumper holes
A few ideas pop to mind. Use as ram air intakes for the engine, of course if that truck ever sees mud, that'll be the worst idea ever. The other thought that comes to mind is get two LED work lights and use them as fog lights. I'll provide picture of what I'm talking about.

Re: Bumper holes
X2 on the LED lights. I can probably get some that can be programmed to be running lights until you need them for fog lights. BTW, nice ride

Re: Bumper holes
When I build 68 front end trucks, I use the turn signals in the bumper and remove them from the grill. I think it looks cleaner. To do it right you need to change out the lower grill inside piece where the 68 lights mount with an upper one.

Re: Bumper holes
For my 1968 C10 I installed a 71 bumper with 71 brackets. Then I bought a set of OEM turn signals from a junkyard 71, wired them to my parking lights so both filaments burn simutaneously, and replaced the dilapidated amber lenses with fresh clear ones from LMC. I now have custom fog lights!
