Tailgate lettering paint question

I'm doing a two tone hugger orange and white paint job on my 1970 C10
Any short cuts or tips for masking off the Chevrolet letters to spray them orange?
I will be spraying the white first.
Base coat clear coat.
See pic I found online of what it will look like
Thanks RRM

Re: Tailgate lettering paint question

You could paint the lettering part of the tailgate orange, put these letters on over it, then paint the tailgate white. Then peel the letters off.

Re: Tailgate lettering paint question

I explained how to do it yesterday in the paint forum...no masking tape needed.

I would be interested in a set of hugger orange letters. I'll pay you for your time and effort. Thanks, Joe
