Charlotte Autofair + New Parts = :)

Just got back from my favorite day of the year, and of course I bought a bunch of parts and came back with a few new ideas. I know I'll be busy this weekend installing everything. Happy happy, joy joy.

Go tomorrow! Even just to look, but look over your truck first, and make a shopping list of all the things you've been waiting to buy. My son and I go just to look, dream and plan for the next project. If it was made you'll probably find it there. It like a huge parts yard, without having to worry about bees.

I was so planning on going. Really sucks I couldn't make it. Past time I was there I got a bunch of great deals. Anyone who has never been there, trust me when I say,"you don't know what you're missing!". This is one of the biggest swap meets in the country!

Re: Charlotte Autofair + New Parts = :)

I guess I didn't realize it was such a large swap meet. I always thought about it from the car show side and in the past, I never felt like it drew too much stuff that really caught my attention, so I gave up on going anymore a few years ago.

Hate we missed each other, I went today along with some friends from Bangshift.com
I bought new ignition, doors and glove box locks and the new letters for the Ramp Rat truck hood.

I got called back to my dads house my grandson had to go to the hospital. I only got to walk for a couple of hrs. Oh well. October will be here soon enough. Grandson is fine had a stomach virus and my daughter freaked out. Friday had to spend the day in the hospital with my dad! Been a stressful weekend but we made it through it. Everyone is ok.
I ordered the Digitails for the Impala just now off E bay since I couldn't get them today..

It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Charlotte Autofair + New Parts = :)

My wife and I went down Thursday night and to the show on Friday. 10 miles of walking according to her fit-bit.
Picked up what I went for, Sanderson close fit, shorts for my 396. Found them as we were leaving.
Also got a pair of old cast aluminum bbc valve covers, low profile, and an old toolbox.
Oh yeah, and a original paint ochre ash tray and some push button GM black seat belts. The guy said he took them out of his 67 when restoring it, but not original 67 I don't believe.
I always have a good time there.
Sore as the devil when I climb out of the car in Roanoke though.

Yea man. We need to try and meet for sure.

I saw Tommy and Jason. Long time friends of Tommy's truck parts as well. Great people. Also meet some new people at Kimbrells Paint & Auto out of Boiling Springs SC.
