Bench seat tag - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I'm in the process of replacing the bench seat covers on my 72 C10 lwb. I found an aluminum tag with the word "Cadiz" and some numbers on it attached to the upper frame. Was wondering what it is? Anybody have a clue?

I have found them on my trucks seats also, note the date code on yours it looks like your seat was assembled on Aug 18, 1970

Actually the date code was Feb 16 1970; my birthday is the same date but '59. What do you suppose "Cadiz" means?
