Frame question
I've looked for frame pictures but really couldn't find any to help me. Behind the main front crossmember of my truck there is a smaller cross member, and then the transmission crossmember for my automatic. Is that middle member something that was there since it was as originally a four speed truck? With it there I can see why the PO omitted the trans dust cover I'm trying to refit. Thanks.

Pictures would help, but my question would be----how did you install an auto with the 4 speed x-member in the way.

The PO did and it fit perfectly. The middle member has no part
Of the engine or trans mounted to it. Everything clears and it's riveted to the frame like it belonged for some reason.

And the third crossmember in between I'm curious about. It has a square shaped hole on each side that must have had mounts in them
