Lower control arm problem
I was trying to rebuild this control arm, but then I noticed it looked like the part that houses the bushing had been bent at some point.
Anyone know if this can be straightened? |

Re: Lower control arm problem
Prolly been in a fender bender or had a lower balljoint break some time in it's life. I would get another control arm.

Re: Lower control arm problem
mine was bent bad where previous owner hit a stump or something. you're probably safer getting a new arm however i did not. i drove the sleeve in with the bushing rental tool from oreilly and an impact. then inserted the poly bushing with grease. it was difficult to get in but the shaft is holding it in place with now problems. even took the truck to get aligned at firestone. i guess it ultimately depends on what your doing with the truck. mine is a weekend cruiser so it didn't really matter.
