Re: "Black Gold" edition Chevrolets?
I have a 1982 Black Gold GMC pickup. It has a gold roof, black mid section, and gold bottom section. It has an oil dereck and the words Black Gold on both rear sides of the bed. I painted over this years ago (regretfully now) and need a picture of it to add it back.

Re: "Black Gold" edition Chevrolets?
Metalshapes, sharp pickup you got there. Back in 1979, I bought a GMC truck similar to what’s being talked about from Kip Scott in Red Deer Alberta. It was a 1979 GMC (Sierra Classic) short box fleet side, I special ordered it with a 454 and a turbo 400 and a limited slip axle. It was painted similar to the Gentlemen Jim truck (Black and Gold with side body trim) it had the same gold roof and side panels in gold but on the top of the box at the rear it had a pump jack and “Black Gold” decal on it that was gold on the black paint. It looked very sharp. I can’t find any pictures of the truck, but I remember the lettering looked similar to the lettering used on the Cheyenne emblem in the early 70’s and a gold line went down to the gold center panel from the pump jack stem. I can’t remember but I think a pinstripe shop in Red Deer at the time did the decals for the dealer. I sold the truck in 1985 and saw it a year or so later in Edmonton and the dude put a mid 70’s gold fire chicken on the hood???? Not sure why, must of liked trans am’s, killed the cool vibe of the truck though.

I have a build thread on this beauty going right now. Plan to redo it in the factory colors.
