Re: New body panels

GM NOS is the best fit however parts are drying up fast! I have 73-80 fenders and a few boxsides, a 73-80 tailgate and an 81-87 tailgate and a hood for 81-87. I also have (2) 73-91 K5 tailgates also-all GM NOS.

Prices shipped to Canada would be INSANE tho-better to ship to northernmost US state then come down and get them. But, aftermarket is the only alternative to GM. The price for NOS is always going to go up, and once you've had to fight with getting aftermarket stuff to fit properly, NOS doesn't seem so bad after all imo lol

Re: New body panels

I have to say while I agree NOS fits best, here is imo a point where even NOS sheetmetal prices have hit their limit-I can't see paying anywhere close to 1K for a door-clean, rust free donor trucks are still plentiful. I can't say 67-69 Camaro-esque NOS prices are justified for these squares....yet.

You could buy a whole donor truck for 2k, most of tabco's panel are cut in the USA. You can call them and they will tell you exactly what pieces are cut here and they're also as think as OEM panels

Re: New body panels

I also refused to pay those prices for just panels. I scoured all yards in my area and just trial and error myself with body filler and hammer and dollies until the panels were usable. I can spot the bad parts that were the most difficult to fix but to the naked eye they look just fine.
