Vent Window to Door Skin Seals ???
First off I would like to thank everyone for a great informative forum with your helpful replies to others and myself relating to the restoration of our trucks.
I've finally got my doors assembled with lots of research here and many thanks to Wes at Classic Heartbeat. New Precision brand Cab to Door Seals. A little snug on the drivers door closure but they are relaxing well. New after market sport mirrors, regulators, door latches, locks and handles. A few minor adjustments needed, the windows, latches, strikers and locks work smoothly. Whew! Windows crank smoothly and work like new. With concerns, aftermarket Vent Windows, Door Glass assmblies and Window felts installed and fit very well. My question is about the outside lower Vent Windows to Door skin rubber seal. After researching the forum for past threads I could use some help. Does the seal overlap or butt up against the door skin? Should they overlap the upper door skin like the Window felt trim? I have a small gap presently because they are tucked down inside. If someone can show me the correct way with a photo I would appreciate your advice and feedback. Sorry I didn't get a real good close up of the gap. Thanks again everyone, Sam |

Re: Vent Window to Door Skin Seals ???
I had the same concerns when I did mine. It just looked wrong to be on the inside of the door. I even tried to glue mine down on the outside, but it just wouldn't stay put. I finally found the right thread that pointed out the error of my ways.

I did the same thing. I left them on the outside at first but finally tucked them into the door.

Re: Vent Window to Door Skin Seals ???
The outside seal gets pinched between the door and vent window? I've always trimmed mine right a the window edge.
