Size: 48.2 KB and as far as I can tell no one makes one, even the parts place , say they have one, it is for a truck, not a 1 ton panel.

Re: 64 C30 1 ton panel

well after a lot of cleaning, and CLR, the sending unit is operational, looks like I will be getting ready to put the tank back in and getting her ready to go for a drive.

The '63-'66 sending units are not the same as the '60-'62 sending units. Those are attached to the tank with 5 screws.

Re: 64 C30 1 ton panel

I have 2 fuel sending units, both said that they were for a 60- 66 panel or sub, what I found out is that theses are for 1/2 ton and subs, not for a 1 ton panel, so you have to be careful when ordering parts, you need to tell them that you have a 1/2 ton or 1 ton\, if it is a truck, or panel.

Re: 64 C30 1 ton panel

see what I mean yours is nothing like mine, but I did get my sending unit to work, so I am going to reinstall it and fill it and see if it will do what I want, if the sending unit does not work, I am going to make a newer sending unit work, I have the length of my old one and can bend a new one to match, will let you all know how it works.

Re: 64 C30 1 ton panel

Ron, I have not seen a C30 panel have a rear tank like the C/K10 Suburbans and panels did. They had a tank mounted alongside the frame a little ways behind the drivers side door. Not sure just why, but that is what I have seen them have.

Re: 64 C30 1 ton panel

that's what i was talking about and even put my tank in the pictures, so ever one can see what a C 30 1 ton panel, gas rank looks like and what kind of sending unit, it has in it.

Re: 64 C30 1 ton panel

hey RON , in 1965 gm did make a 3/4 ton, but I do not know if it was only for that year, sorry I did not mean to sound like I was mad or anything like that, just I tried to show every one here what I was going thru to get my gas tank ready to go back in, again sorry if I sounded like I was mad.
