well i did it now.
i went out today an picked up a huge cab over camper....only give 100.00. i have to redo the ceilin where it has leaked, but other than that its in decent shape.....nobody seems to know how much it wheighs, so i gonna wheigh my truck empty, then with the camper on it.....i do know that it squated my 3/4 ton down about 6 inches....so it has got to be heavy..an the ol 454 just went on down the raod like it was runnin empty....i didnt go to fast,,,i couldnt get it tied down....tomm i will be relocatin the tie downs.....so i have alot of projects, i will be postin pics of it purty soon an my truck to......good thing is i no longer got to tent it......

Sweet! I really wanted a cab-over camper for a while, when I had my truck as a long bed.. I camp in the desert a lot and it would have been perfect, especially on my "camper special" truck
just a few months ago my dad sold a '79 (i think) prowler travel trailer.. the thing was old school but it was soooo clean. When he got it it had been parked unused for years & years.. the thing was damn near perfect inside & out. He sold it for a song too, wish I had the money at the time to buy it. Oh well! i will be postin pics in my fotki album tonight, the camper im keepin is a 73, i started stippin a 71 for parts. the fridge was the main part i wanted an it worked on propane today, will be tryin on electric tomm. i stripped the escape hatch off it today, an tomm will be stripping the roof skin off of it....so im busy as heck.....good thing is i left the parts camper on my truck so it is leagal an they cant make me get rid of it b4 i get my parts off of it..

ok pics are posted, in the my newset toy album...it weighs alot, my mud flaps are about 3 to 4 inches off the ground, but with the camper on it, they are dragging the ground, i figure about 6 inches of squat, im gonna put on som over loads i think, but i hate to loose the smooth ride when my truck is empty, it rides like a caddy or lincoln....

i added a few pics of the parts camper today......i been gettin alot of ribbin here at home for doing this........would any of the rest of you have the b#lls to do somthing like this or is it just me.....i did it because im tired of roughing it...thats for young poeple who cant afford a camper an dont hurt from lyeing on the ground....so let me know if im the only one to do somthing like this.....
