thermostat gasket ?
going to put a new thermostat in my truck tomorrow, should I put the gasket on dry or use some gasket dressing on the gasket?

I use liquid Permatex on the gasket & the bolts. Leaks less & makes it easier to take apart next time.

I used the Perma-dry gasket f/ Fel-pro but I don't think you want to spend $12 for just a gasket. My water neck was coroded but I didn't want to have to buy new sensors to go in it because the ones on there are rusted on forever.

$12 for a water neck gasket!?! Jeez, I paid less than that for a whole new iron water neck & thermostat & gasket last year. And that's not the one with the cut-out Minute Rice box gasket either!
