Re: Starter Parts ?

The number mean nothing to me...but your picture looks like a 10MT also known as an SD300 which would be stock on these trucks.

Some pictures of the whole thing would be helpful.

Here's a parts diagram:

The diagram came from these guys who seem to have pretty cheap parts - https://www.aspwholesale.com/

Re: Starter Parts ?

Wow - Thanks

Nice just what the Doctor Ordered : Issue is Block is from a GM the Heads are form SBC the Intake is from Elderbrock
I can't seem to Find any Good Numbers ( It seems to be mostly ) V8 from 70"s to 1979 . . I Believe it's Hooked to a SM465
1 Ton - with 5:14 , so I'll be looking for a 4:10 to Swap into the HO72 believe they call it ..
I Haven't had the Truck to long and still Trying to Figure it all out . Previous Owner had some Trouble , and seems to have Vanished ..

I did get Good Documentation - Title say 1 Ton Truck - LOL it doesn't even Give the Weight . .
( Trying to get Her up and running - to be reliable and , bang, bang , bang 3 thing in row )
First Up - Rear Axle was all S-Screwed - Doggin Walkin .. Moved and realigned that 3/4 " - Checking the
Drive-Line for Vibration - I Noticed the Mid Carrier Bearing was Mounted - Sq. to Frame - the Drive Line
is set at 3 Degree. in 1 Plane and the Second Plane Normal Drop is about 4 Degrees . . ( Compound ) so looking into that ..
Also - got My Hands Full .

I did Rebuild it to the Best of My Ability - with - No Parts and it was Broken 1.5 wires Messed Up 1 Brush Not Working
1 Wire Completely Broken Off .. - I Cleaned it all Up and Mac-Giver'd a Fix using Stuff I had Laying around ..

[IMG][/IMG]

[IMG][/IMG]

Fixing it to Paint - this is the second Time - it's been Out - First Time Local Shop Tested It and said it was A-OK
LOL - see Broken Items I found inside 15 Miles and 4 days later . . BRahhaaa LOL REal Kicker I took Starter back there again
to have them Check it and Now that I Fixed it - They said It was No Good !

Stay Tuned for Real World Testing Tomorrow ..!
[IMG][/IMG]

Going to Paint Starter - Hoping My Fix Last a Long Time , but I always have a back up Plan .. ( Rebuild Kit )

Thank You for the Help ..
Dan
