replacing upper/lower control arm bushings
After tearing my spindles off and taking a closer look at my upper/lower control arms on my 67 C10, the seals/bushings are junk.
I have called every auto parts store, and one dealership. Dealership only sells bottom seals. Auto parts stores only sell the whole kit, which includes new shaft, nuts, seals, and bushings. I see LMC sells just the seals. Does anyone know, how to tell if the shaft and nuts are ok? They look fine, well to me , which doesn't mean much really. I also hear LMC sells junk, anyone know anywhere else I might be able to buy. Thanks much!! [This message has been edited by johnymac (edited April 20, 2002).] |

If you replace anything, replace both shaft and bushing at the same time. I didn't and they both wore out in a year. The next time I just went with later model rubber bushings, in later model control arms-I like 'em better.

Your better off with the whole kit. When there this old there probably worn out. Carparts.com has them and so does Summit. Look up the moog part number on carparts.com and the ckeck out the price at summit. do the find part by number, th eprefix will be mog-
