Our 87 GMC , original paint don't look all that good , but the underside looks like a 4-5 year old truck.

First post. Just joined this forum. Howdy from TX. I bought this 1979 Bonanza a year or two ago. The original paint was in really bad shape but I wanted to try and preserve it the way it was. I ran across a product called VIVILON that claims to bring back old paint (not associated with them in any way).
It did what it said it would do, but the coating came out as bumpy as bedliner... So I hand sanded and polished it and it came out GREAT. Only took me over 30 hours of back-breaking work. But... in the end worth it I think. The bed was in typical shape, and this is a budget project, so I painted the bed to match the interior. |
