Looking for 71-72 transfer case shift lever
I've been searching for a 71-72 Chevy 205 transfer case shift linkage. The long shift linkage that is closer to the passenger side of the transmission. Anyone know of a source?

Try contacting Quad 4x4 by phone or e-mail. Used parts availability isn't consistent so they may not list such parts. There is the parts board here. Keep checking or subscribe to list a WTB

Re: Looking for 71-72 transfer case shift lever
Are you looking for the stick or linkage? I'm kinda confused. But I can offer this. If you are looking for the stick shift. There are different ones for year and for auto and manual. If you have an auto trans the stick could be about anything you like( unless you are looking for original configuration for the year) and you could bend it a bit. But if you have a manual trans you need to get both sticks to cooperate in all positions of 1st thru 4th and 2Hi thru 4Lo.
You need to determine your configuration, then we will notice that there is a desire for such a stick and begin hording them!.... just kidding! But seriously, you don't want to get beat by the stick! Here's as stick pic... of my stick...

Re: Looking for 71-72 transfer case shift lever
Sorry for the confusion, I'm looking for the stick.
I have a 68 K10 with a SM465 4 speed and transplanted Np205 transfer case with a short chrome stick that when shifted into 4Hi is pushed up against the bench seat making hit hard to engage in and out of 4 wheel. |

Re: Looking for 71-72 transfer case shift lever
OK. I'm guessing you don't know the exact bends you need, just that yours does have the correct bends. If you look at my stick you will see it bends toward the driver. What you don't see, under the boot, is the stick has two 45 bends. So it comes off the transfer about 2" the takes a 45 bend to the driver for 4" the bends 45 back up through the boot. If you sit in the truck it looks like you wont be able to shift the trans if you put it into 4Lo. But the stick kind of drops down when shoved up into 4Lo. So the bends can be deceiving.
Anyhow, I think you need to figure what the bending configuration should be before you grab one. Or verify the application from the buyer. If Special K chimes back in he can probably shed more light on what actually came in that year, he has had several 4x4s of this generation. Point is, you could get a transfer stick that does not play well with your transmission stick... that would be my concern. You can always bend the stick you have until it works, then paint it black! Or like he said below, give quad 4x4 a ring. Pics, we like pics.... because we're nosey!
