Re: What else would you buy if you sold your Harley

The truck looks awesome. Glad you have something nice to drive when un expected injuries happen in the shop or other places.

If you need help wit the fuel gauge wiring let me know. I just finished a 1950 pick up gauge quad with a 12 V conversion for a customer. Should wire the same as a 6V as far as I know. Where did you buy the gauge from? What is the problem with it/

Hope the tendon heels OK,

Take care,
Tom

I love the truck, but the shovel (88 S&S) is more dear to me - going on almost 2 decades & lotsa miles. Given the choice, I would sell the truck & save for another. The bike just makes me smile more...just me

I will be in late September. I am leaving Michigan on the 15th. Me and the lady are going to take a nice slow ride across the country in my 72 Cheyenne with a "Oregon or Bust" sign in the back window

I will probably be set up in the shop by the first of October. I will let you know when I am ready. If you can wait for me that long. I have everything to diagnose the problem.

Take care,
Tom

Buttoned up the headliner, ebrake conversion to newer rear cables, ran a new rear brake line, got the dome light working and verified no tranny leaks tonight. 60 miles on the new motor trans swap and all good!

Thanks guys! This one , other than the old steering box, has been a fun ride lately. Learning a lot with this truck. I will never do this again in the middle of the summer!

You must have forgotten building the orange truck and freezing having to work behind the curtain at the shop, LOL.

Ya it was below zero then. Wrenches felt like ice cubes! I guess there is either no " best" time or its always the best time to work on a truck!

The axle, steering etc parts are on hold with Sid at dropped axles.com for the new owner. As some of you know I sold the orange bagged 65 that I did and threw this truck in on the deal walking away with a 1946 Suburban. Having dogs that we take everywhere and being a truckguy dont mix well when you have to leave them in the bed when we are in the city. Having the 50 burb makes it great as we can lock them inside with the windows slid and they stay cool or warm and safe from people. It only made sense when I saw the 46 to try and see if the owner would sell it. Just so happens he has 2 boys learning to drive and wanted a couple of trucks. Im probobly back a little on the deal but where are you going to find such a beautiful 46 Chevy Suburban for trade?
Still have ol faithfull 50 burb thats our pack mule and daily driver

Ya thats what I thought when I saw it. After years of car shows museums cruises etc I had only seen them in print and never in person. I even got to keep my left arm left leg and first born.

Not sure if I can give my bike up for something 4 wheeled.
No doubt its slowing my search for a more completed Ad truck, But I'm willing to wait to have both.
