New tank needs new fuel pump?

Replacing the in cab tank with a new Spectra tank based on solid reviews here. On Rock Auto, the Spectra description rec's replacing the fuel pump at the same time. Does the forum agree? Also, the ROck AUto site has 4-5 different fuel pumps for a '71 C20. Can anyone recommend one?

Re: New tank needs new fuel pump?

That's a generic recommendation they put on all tanks since a preponderance of fuel tanks have pumps in them nowadays.

Does not apply to old school block mounted fuel pumps.
