68 c10...want to order new hvac stuff, what do I need?

I am looking to repair/replace the hvac stuff in my 68. It's currently all in shambles, heater core bypassed, broken levers on the controls, etc. My plan is to eventually convert to a/c using a TBI serpentine setup. For now, all I want is working heat and defrost. What parts should I be looking for so I don't have to replace good parts down the road?

Is your truck an original AC truck? The heater core is probably bypassed cause it was leaking or clogged. Replacing the core is a pretty straightforward job. I would start there. In the classifieds there are controllers for sale all the time. Pictures and more details would get you more detailed information.
