New body side molding discussion
While Clyde is in the "spa" for some massaging, i started thinking, I have always want body side molding on Clyde.
I see where Classic parts has the SWB kit for $334.00 I looked at Mar-K and theirs is $542.00, I'm wondering is the $200 difference really worth it? Brothers is $499.90, is this rebadged Mar-k? What is yalls perspective?

Re: New body side molding disunion
I can not testify as I have not replaced any side molding but with that said everything thing that I have read and have herd Marc-K is the best period. On instagram a lot of the big shops all use there trim. Now I have installed 4 of there wood bet kits and all 4 went really easy.

Re: New body side molding disunion
I will attest to Mar-K's quality and customer service, they are awesome!
The same with classic Parts, been buying from them for 30 years, never a complaint. I wonder why the difference in pricing, what I am asking is I'd like some feedback from folks with experience

Re: New body side molding disunion

Re: New body side molding disunion
The thickness of the material they are made out of is too thin. They warp and distort. Even the more expensive ones need to be handled very carefully.

Re: New body side molding disunion
So the thickness is the difference huh? That does make sense. Anyone else notice this?

Re: New body side molding disunion
I have installed the side molding from LMC or Classic parts (probably made by the same company) and even being careful it ended with some dings where the clips are.
Get the Mar-K trim.

Re: New body side molding disunion
Anyone ever try using 3M tape? I've been kicking that idea around for years.

Re: New body side molding disunion
Yes there is a thread using that and some clear plastic strips. Here: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...+trim+mounting
I will probably do this as well.
