headlight conversion
has anyone converted their headlights to the kind with the replaceable halogen bulbs?

They work great. I'm running 74 Euro Porche RS lamps, lead cyst flat lens. They have a great spead pattern. I'm using the 55/60 watt bulbs. If your system can handle it go with the 80/90.

I put in those exact lights about a month ago I love em
------------------ 68 Chevy, with 93stepside,euro tail lights, fast bags, shaved everything, Eagle alloy 17's tuckin rim, 350 with under hood blower TH350 w/ shift kit,12 bolt Auburn posi with 4:11's. 95 chevy Tahoe A.K.A. (PHATHOE) is dropped 4in all around, stripped emblems and mouldings, 18in Niche bellas, flowmaster. 97 CBR 900RR everything aluminum is polished or powder coated candy purple. 6color change chameleon paint at $300 a pint(ouch), jetted and custom fabbed under seat exhaust like on the Ducati

the ones from street beat customs?
which ones did u get cuz theres like regular, tri bar, mirror, and trilliant tribar, something like that. are they worth the money. would they be legal in california (what isnt illegal here?)

I got the mirror finish 7", I really liked the look of the try bar but I was putting them behind a phantom grill, so seen no need to spend x-tra $$$. Some are DOT approved already just call and ask. I love em. I just put on the phantom and dont know if legal in AZ either but I don't care, deal with that if it arises. Not as tough her though I know CALI is a motha. Good luck

i dont know if i want to go with the regular or the mirror finish. i'm staying with the regular 67-68 grille.
how are they as far as being better than regular headlights?

nate68 I would go with the Try-bar they look awsome, and still keeps the nastalgic look. They are a hella lot brighter in comparison.
