Can't find what's causing vibration

When driving between approx. 45 and 60, I get a vibration. It doesn't really seem to be in any sort of rythm, just a sort of shaking feeling.
I'm sure it's not the engine or tranny because it did this before they were both replace. Also most front end parts have been replaced and I don't feel the shaking in the steering wheel. Could it be the carrier bearing? How do you tell if they are bad? Could worn shocks cause this?

Have you checked your u-joints (3)? The bearing itself should not cause a vibration-only if the rubber cushion is busted. To check just see if you can move the driveshaft in the rubber mount. (it will move some but should not be free from rubber. Worn shocks would cause more of a bounce of the wheel up and down.

Sounds to me like you may have slung a wheel weight. Get the tires balanced and see if it disappears.

Being that it starts at a speed (45) then quits at a speed (60) I have a tendency to believe it's rear tires. (If you don't feel it in the steering wheel) Worn shocks can intensify the shake.

When I needed my driveline balanced, It was almost a "ROAR" ( kind of like aggressive tires do) And when U-joints are going, The vibration is usually on the Let off of the gas pedal...and the vibration from both of these is felt throughout the vehicle..
