was the bowtie on the console lid always blue or did you paint it because all i can find are yellow ones some people say they where all yellow and some say there where blue ones

It was blue when i got , some of the blue is peeling off and there is no other paint under it , It looks like it was always blue!

fwiw
i think the console emblem bowtie color matched the hubcap bowtie color...which would mean only 69-72 consoles would have the blue bowtie, and 73-80 consoles would have the yellow bowtie.
