Freon detector
Im looking for a budget minded freon detector. I have a leak that I cant find. There is dye in the system, but not a visible leak. I need a sniffer to locate the leak.
Budget is less that $100. Any suggestions?

Re: Freon detector
i got a great buy off ebay years ago. Look for a heated diode style, "TIF" brand is good stuff. Diagnosed many mysterious freon leaks by checking the evaporator core. The most overlooked ac part.

Re: Freon detector
The TIF detector looks to be made by Robinair and found plenty for around $100.
The evap core in my Tahoe is buried under the dash. I did split the case a little to peak in there, but didnt see much. I was hoping if the leak was there some of the dye would have sweat thru the drain. No luck.
