Re: pedal assembly help?
The setup replaces as a whole unit. There's at least one for sale on the parts board right now...cheap too.

Re: pedal assembly help?
You can simply ADD the clutch parts to your auto set up if you want. They are the same from the factory, the auto setup is just missing the clutch petal and shaft. I can get a picture of both side by side if you need it.

Re: pedal assembly help?
The first 2 pics are of my factory 72 auto setup. Notice the tube running left to right through the middle of it. The 3rd, 4th and 5th are of a complete clutch setup I bought from TEEITUP. You can see that the main bracket is the same along with the brake pedal parts. The difference is the clutch pedal and "shaft" that run left to right through the housing and eventually move the lever on the far right side. This is where your clutch linkage would connect and run through the firewall and down to the pivot on the frame. I removed the clutch pedal from a 68 truck years ago and it was pretty straight forward if I remember right. It isn't too hard to find someone that is swapping from manual to auto and most of the time they will remove just the clutch parts mentioned. Find that person, buy the parts from them, then put them in your factory auto housing. Basically you need the clutch pedal, the shaft, the lever on the right, and I think there is a bearing on each side of the tube but I can't remember for sure. Hope this helps.

Re: pedal assembly help?
There is two plastic bushings on ether side of the tube but can be installed in the truck or out of the truck.

Re: pedal assembly help?
Yeah bushings sounds right now that you say it, not bearings. Thanks for making that correction.

Re: pedal assembly help?
I'd like to ressurect this post. I have a manual truck with a auto trans. from what I'm reading above, I should be able to just remove the clutch pedal? it seems the axle the clutch pedal and brake rotate on is pressed in. how does one go about removing the pedal?

Re: pedal assembly help?
Here is another question I didn't see answered. Are 67-72 clutch pedal assemblys all the same or were there changes between those years?
