Tow Hitch

67-72 chevy truck tow package 2" receiver 4x4

Does anybody know if a hitch off of a 68 Chevy Truck 4x4 would be a direct bolt up to a 71 Jimmy 4x4 ?

The top line is how he advertised it. He said it bolts in.

Thanks for your help !

Charlie

Charles--might take a peek in "Tractors Supply". They have a heavy hitch that I bought and put into my 72 truck--bolted right up real nice. Didn't check if it was OK for 4x4 but would be hard to believe it wouldn't given the frame's are the same. It even had the slide in hitch for the ball for around $100.
Might want to look at where it would bolt up and if you have clearance between the frame and the gas tank as that is the only spot that might be a wee bit tight. Good value though~~~.

Huck you wouldn't happen to have a model # and brand on that hitch from tractor supply? Would love to find a hitch that didnt need any drilling so I could switch it from vehicle to vehicle without having to drill holes everytime.
Thanks

It may not bolt up to your Jimmy, depending on what style receiver it is. If it has the center bar that goes back toward the rear end, then you will have to worry about the gas tank in the Jimmy getting in the way. The width of it will be the same though. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com
