I would just use the '85 steering linkage or linkage from a '73-'87. You will have to drill holes to bolt up the later model idler arm, but that is easy after you mount the steering box using the template I include with the adapter plate. Just position the draglink to be parallel to both the bottom of the frame and also the suspenaion crossmember. That is where the idler arm needs to be.
