Door Jamb Switch?
So what's the install trick preventing the wire to not twist and break?

Re: Door Jamb Switch?
before I put mine in I spun the switch ccw about 6 rounds then when you screw it in the wire unwinds back to normal untwisted..

Ha, got it. Curious did you have a single white wire only?

Re: Door Jamb Switch?
I removed the trim panel and cut a hole with a hole saw behind it. Then installed the new switch and then attached the wire.
My wire had fallen down into the panel before I started so I cut the hole to fish it out. Made the job much easier and the hole is completely covered/ invisible with the trim panel in place. |

Re: Door Jamb Switch?
The switch is nothing but a ground..only one wire to it...opening the door completes the circuit to ground..hot goes directly to the light..
No trim panels on my truck.. |

Re: Door Jamb Switch?
I had the same repair to do with both switches. Mine had rusted on the back of the switches and the wire had fallen, I was able to fish them out without cutting holes. I also just did the twist thing with the wire, and then they untwisted with the installation of the switch.
